  • Yes. Therapy sessions are confidential within the limits required by law and professional ethics. Confidentiality and its limitations will be discussed during the intake process so clients understand how their information is protected.

  • The first session typically involves discussing concerns, goals for therapy, background information, and any questions you may have about the therapy process. The initial session also helps determine whether the therapeutic relationship feels like a good fit for your needs. For children under 13 , there will be a parent only initial session.
